Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults was reintroduced into the Catholic Church as a result of Vatican II. It is a process whereby people are given an opportunity to learn about the Catholic faith, experience Church as a community, and decide to become members of that community through the Sacraments of Baptism (if needed), Confirmation and Eucharist.
