Schedule and guidelines for Marriage Prepration classes

2009 Marriage Preparation Guidelines

1. Three six session cycles will be offered:
• 1st Cycle: January 11, 18, 25; February 1, 8, 15, 2009
• 2nd Cycle: May 17, 24; June 7, 14, 21, 28, 2009
• 3rd Cycle: September 13, 20, 27; October 4, 11, 18, 2009

2. Classes will be held on Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Jesuit Hall.

3. Couples can choose the cycle they wish to attend.

4. Couples must complete one six session cycle.

5. Couples can register for the cycle of their choice at the OLMC office by the following deadlines:
• 1st cycle: Wednesday, January 7, 2009
• 2nd cycle: Wednesday, May 13, 2009
• 3rd cycle: Wednesday, September 9, 2009

6. Couples will attend an orientation meeting at 6:30 p.m. at Jesuit Hall the Thursday before the first session:
• 1st cycle: Thursday, January 8, 2009
• 2nd cycle: Thursday, May 14, 2009
• 3rd cycle: Thursday, September 10, 2009

7. Couples can begin their marriage preparation cycle no later than the second session if unforeseen circumstances occur.

8. Couples can purchase the required textbook, “For Better and Forever Sponsor Couple Program” by Fr. Robert Ruhnke(one per person) at the OLMC bookstore, at the OLMC office at the orientation session or at the Diocesan Office (499 St. Matthews).
