Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church celebrated Our Lady of Guadalupe by having a procession on Saturday December 10th followed by Mass. Before the Mass celebration, Religious Education children reenacted the apparition of our blessed Mother. Ysleta del Sur Pueblo performed there Eagle Social Dance along with the traditional smudging. There was fellowship afterward with pan dulce and hot chocolate.
The celebration continued on Monday, December 12th with the traditional mañanitas at 5:30 AM followed by Mass celebrated by Bishop Mark Seitz. There was also a Mass celebration at 6:00 PM and the newly inducted members of the Guadalupanas were introduced to the community. Que viva la Virgen de Guadalupe!
