Greetings to All,
Peace and good things! I pray that I have found you in the best of health, and the love of the Lord is with you today and always. Know that you have been in my prayers during these challenging times.
It has been about 6 months since we gathered on Sunday for Mass; however, Bishop Mark Sietz has given permission to celebrate Sunday masses at 25% beginning on the weekend of September 12-13. We will resume our regular schedule for the weekend Masses (Saturday at 5 pm and Sunday at 7 am – Spanish, 9 am – English, 11 am – Spanish, 1 pm – English). Attached you will find a list of criteria for attending mass on Sunday. Two of the most important things that you will be asked to do is wear a mask and of course social distance. Since we have a limited number of individuals who will be allowed to attend, we ask that you come by the office to obtain a ticket for the mass you wish to attend. Even though the office is closed, the office staff is present from 9 am – 12 pm. Each ticket is per individual, so if you have a family of 5, you will need 5 tickets. Also, if you feel uncomfortable coming to mass because of your age or medical condition, the bishop will continue to exempt us from the Sunday obligation until we are at some level of normalcy.
As we move forward in the midst of the pandemic, I ask that we be patient with each other and pray for one another. One day we will be able to gather as a faith community and thank God for the many blessings. Please know that our Sunday gathering is dependent upon the number of cases. This may change if the numbers increase. Take care and God bless.
