4 catechumens preparing to enter the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil participated in the Rite of Election celebrated by Fr. Miguel the first Sunday of Lent, March 1st.
During the Rite of Election, the catechumens, also called the elect, make public their intention to receive at the Easter Vigil April 11 the three sacraments of initiation — baptism, confirmation and first Eucharist — by signing their names in the parish’s Book of the Elect.
